Advocacy, education, and community. To kick off Italian American Heritage Month, we’re unveiling this year’s poster designed by Jessica Colon, a senior at Comsewogue High School on Long Island.
Featuring imagery of Italians who were integral to the creation of the infrastructure on Long Island—roads and railroads—and imagery depicting the arduous journey they endured to get here, we must never forget the sacrifices our ancestors made, and we will continue living the American Dream in their honor and memory.
